Leprechaun Carol Slots
We're not the biggest fan of things that resemble critters from a horror movie, but they managed to make this one into a likable character that will grow on you the longer you play. Set in the snow with a leading man that feels almost out of place enough to make you smile, this is a Dreamworks quality work that manages to be endearing in most ways and plays just as well. We had a smile on our face for most of the time that we were playing it, and would not change much about it other than the main man's beard!
This game is good for quick payouts and plays at a far more rapid pace than many players but the most jaded vets will likely be used to. They made this game up to the highest caliber, and you won't find much about it that wasn't given a very high level of care and concern. The multipliers are great, and all the features you could want are here, save for a really big jackpot looming over the whole thing to build up the suspense. The Raining Wilds feature helps to make up for that, however, so it won't leave you feeling too left out when it comes to that.
Pragmatic Play did a number on this one, and it probably is the best of their Leprechaun series. We don't dislike the other ones all that much, but this one likely has the most thought and care put into it. The fact that it's part of a series alone should tell you that many people find a lot to like about these games. If you think you could be among them to have a great time with it, feel free to give this one a spin and let us all know how you liked it!
The Main Theme Tying the Game Together
This game's about Christmas, with a catch. They went above and beyond here to make this one stand out from the pack that all tend to look the same when it comes to the Christmas theme and what all goes into that. It's an Irish themed Christmas game with a bit of color put in place of your standard elf. It doesn't look bad, but it definitely does not look like any of the other games you'll be seeing in this genre of casino fun.
Things We Liked the Most
The joy they put into the graphics definitely are contagious. You'll have a wonderful time just seeing the game fly by, making it one of the rare ones that's actually fun to watch happen while you're sitting next to your friend waiting for a turn to win a bunch of money on the internet.
Those bonus features also make this one stand out to us, and we are happy they are included. With a healthy max bet at around $100, they'll keep you playing because a lot of it is authentically just a fun time to sit down and experience.
Things We Didn't Much Care For
We definitely wish they'd put in some more jackpots or overarching progression mechanics. We didn't see much of that going on here, and it made it all a little less compelling than it otherwise would have been. Definitely not a bad game, but not the style we're used to keeping us going long into the night.
The Overall Presentation in the Game
The Christmas theme here is perfectly captured. They took the other games in the series and put over the top some nice elements, quite literally. The images from the other games have been painted over with snow to make them look fittingly like they're from the North, and it all ends up looking very good. We don't like the rosiness on the lead, but that's the main thing we'd hold against the way it all looks.
How the Core Gameplay of This One Holds Up
It's a pretty good time if you're willing to give it a chance. The betting amounts are pretty low, and you'll find nothing odd or new about the core setup of the reels, but the pacing and all else more than make up for it. You'll still be hooked if you're willing to sit long enough for the Raining Wilds feature to pop up, and we really enjoyed all the time we spent playing it for that reason.
Our Experience When We Played It
We sat down expecting to be in and out for the review, but got sucked in very quickly. We didn't do much besides spin in rapid fire, as the gameplay doesn't lend itself to much else, but we had a good time for what it is, and walked away breaking about even for the investment. We've done a lot better, and a lot worse, which sums up our take on the game!
Our Verdict on Whether or Not Leprechaun Carol Slots is Worth Your Time
We played Leprechaun Carol Slots a bunch, and overall, we feel that of the Leprechaun series, this one's the most refined and easiest to play. The core mechanics don't vary too much between any of them, but there's something about this one that we enjoy. May be because we simply love the way Christmas makes anything look, but it could be any number of things that sucked us in. If you're looking for a fun diversion that'll hold your attention for quite some time, feel free to sit down with this Irish boy in the snow and serve up some winnings together! No idea where the caroling comes into play, but all else is there and up front and enticing. Give it a go and let us know how you fared when you did!
